You can't be the poster child for ADHD until I give you my crown...

As a student, I struggled with speech, reading and comprehension. My writing was always messy and I had a hard time organizing my assignments. I had my own Sped Aide and I attended speech classes until I was seven. Outside of school, I rarely slept a full night and I spaced-out a lot--not to mention I was a bed wetter until I was nine and yep, I had ADHD.

In college, the main reason I changed to a Science degree was because I wanted to be my own first experiment! I developed multiple tools for my thoughts, my actions and my impulses. This page is to pass along some of the personal habits I use to stay "smart."

Yes, you read that right. I struggled with speech, reading & comprehension and yes I now teach English classes...

Wake up! It's a New Semester!

Today begins a new semester and I see you're ALL so sleepy!! Listen to this video with ear buds while you do your DOL/journal warm ups in class. You'll hear a different tone in each ear. The tone frequencies gradually raise your body's natural patterns. This will wake you up!

Dual toned sounds are

called binural beats.

Click the coffee cup to

wake up naturally!

(Be sure to listen with your ear buds.)

If anything hurts, turn it down.

Better sleep

(at home, not at school silly)

Sleep cycles are about 90 mins per cycle. This 90 min video uses binural beats to help you get through one full sleep cycle.

I listen as I fall asleep at night. If you try it, you may notice you're more awake in school. Don't forget to use earbuds so you can hear different sounds in each ear.
